Numerous bacteria tend to grow on fabrics that cause foul odour and skin disease.
Public concern about hygiene is increasing rapidly which drives the demand for antibacterial in polyester textile applications. The microbial action can cause discoloration, unpleasant odours and polymer degradation in untreated plastic articles. Antimicrobial additives can be incorporated through the masterbatch route during processing and provide a biocide treatment to control microbes. Antimicrobial masterbatches protect the surface of products from staining and degradation caused by micro-organisms. Our Antimicrobial masterbatches based on silver, zinc and copper technology give very long-term protection and keep the product hygiene. The selection of the antimicrobial is done based on the product thickness and heat stability requirements.
